How to tag files with Picard, the quick way.

Foobar's Open Directory menu itemFind some files to tag. I like to use foobar's Open Directory button a bit.
Dragging a folder icon into PicardOnce you've got loads of folders open, you can drag their folder icon into Picard. Note that this won't cause the folder to lose focus, so you can rest your hand on alt+f4, drag a folder-icon into Picard, alt+f4, and the next folder will be waiting for you.
Yonder holy Cluster buttonCluster!
The sequence of lookup button preses
  • Expand the clustered files list, and select the bottom item in the list.
  • Rest your hands on the right and down keys on your keyboard.
  • Hit right, down, click the Lookup button, then click the next item higher up the list.
  • Repeat until you're out of albums.
  • Note:If your browser is a focus-stealer, you might want to set Picard always-on-top, Windows users can use Topkey (source) and Win+T for this.
Tabs, in OperaAssuming your browser is sane, you'll now have a stack of tabs that corresponds to your clustered albums, which are laid-out for easy comparison. As you hit the tagger button tag each album, Picard will remove it from the Album Clusters list, and, as you close each-tab, your browser will move the correct search results page to the top again.
